A place to freely express what you’ve lived, felt, seen, heard or carried—through art, story, or form.
As we build this space, we hope others will contribute ideas, share art, and offer feedback along the way.
We hope for a space that captures wide-ranging experiences & understandings.
We do not claim to define or validate them—only to witness and share.
We’re looking for works that reflect lived experience— Exploring:
moments of darkness
moments of light
what sat between
drug dependence, addiction, withdrawal, relapse and recovery
what was unexplainable
higher powers
gods of your understanding
spirits, energies or presence of other
Through:
drawings
sketches
paintings
sculpture
photography
digital & multimedia works
written works
Alongside your work, we invite a short narrative—anything from a paragraph to a page—sharing the experience, meaning, or moment behind it.
If you are like some of us here, you may like to take the piss a bit when tackling the dark side of things—“fear no evil, revere no evil.”
We enjoy exposing it and taking away any power it has had, or has, over us through the disease of addiction and in dark spaces—as you will see in our doom scrolls and some of the works to come.
Feel free, and safe.
For those in addiction and recovery… & anyone else who would like to contribute to this aspect of our site….
For those who have moved through addiction, recovery, or darker periods in life—many of us have, at times, struggled with the word “god.”
For some, it can feel distant, loaded, or difficult to connect with—especially within spaces like 12-step programs.
Whether you are in recovery or not, we recognise that this experience isn’t uncommon.
Part of this space exists to open that up.
We’re interested in exploring how people understand or experience something greater than themselves—whether that’s:
god/s
higher powers
nature
higher beings
spiritual experiences
community
family
art itself
And how these things:
move through our lives
shape our values
help us navigate or overcome darker periods
By expressing these experiences through art, story, and shared reflection, we hope to soften barriers around the idea of “God” or a ‘Higher Power’—not by defining it, but by opening it.
Not fixed. Not imposed.
Just made accessible through real experience.
So others may find their own way into it—
in their own time, and in their own way.
If something here resonates with you, you’re welcome to respond to it—through your own work, interpretation, or experience—share with us.
If you reference any work from this space, please do so with respect.
What is shared here comes from real lives, real experiences—held and expressed through art.
